EfVET (European Forum of Technical and Vocational Education and Training), one of the most influential networks in the field of vocational education across Europe, held its 34th Annual Conference in Fátima, Portugal, this year under the theme “Well-being in a Digitalizing World: Designing the Future of Vocational Education and Training in 2035.”
Since 1991, EfVET has been a platform that brings together vocational and technical education institutions, policy makers, and education professionals across Europe to support knowledge sharing, networking, and the dissemination of innovative practices.
At this important event, Gölcük Şehit Volkan Tantürk Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School from Turkey introduced the TEcoNaut Project to international participants. During the roundtable event, the project team shared innovative educational activities focused on sustainable boat building, biocomposite materials, and green skills.
Participants welcomed TEcoNaut’s holistic approach to green transformation, digital skills, and entrepreneurship education with great interest. The presentation increased the project’s visibility across Europe and opened the door to new collaborations.
Throughout the conference, more than 450 educators, researchers, policymakers, and students exchanged ideas on a vocational education vision that puts well-being at the center of the digitalization process. The TEcoNaut team highlighted the project’s alignment with European vocational education policies by showcasing Turkey’s innovative potential in vocational education in this international setting.
EfVET’s 34th conference provided a strong environment of solidarity, with the themes of “human-centered digital transformation” and “well-being in education” coming to the fore in shaping the future of VET.”
